Looking for a fun, active and social sport for your child?

Playball Basketball has been helping primary school children enjoy basketball since 1996. Our Friday after-school competitions are designed specifically for beginners and developing players in a friendly, supportive environment.

Whether your child is completely new to basketball or already loves the game, Playball provides the perfect pathway to learn, improve and have fun with school friends.

Prep Children (Foundation)

Train & Play

Our popular Train & Play program is designed especially for Prep boys and girls.

Each Friday session includes:

15 minutes of skills coaching
Modified games
Lower rings and child-friendly rules
Coach-referees who teach while children play
Plenty of fun and participation

Register a Prep Team

To enter a team, simply speak with other Prep parents at your school or Aussie Hoops program.

Don't have enough players?

Register your interest here and we'll help place your child into a team where possible.

Year 1–3 Competition

Ready for competition?

Our Friday afternoon competition is ideal for children progressing from Train & Play or Aussie Hoops.

Competition features include:

Weekly games
Live scoring with PlayHQ
Ladders and results
Qualified referees
Modified rules for younger players
Great sportsmanship and teamwork

Players can:

Join an existing team
Register a new team
Register individually and we'll help find a team where possible.
