Aussie Hoops — Basketball Australia & Victoria’s Official Beginner Program (Ages 5–8)
A fun and engaging entry-level program designed to introduce young children to basketball in a safe and supportive environment. Aussie Hoops is all about learning new skills, building confidence and having a great time while being active with friends.
Venue Options
• Aqualink Box Hill 4:00 full & 4:45pm
• Sportlink, Vermont South 4:15 & 5:00pm
Program Format - Fridays
• 1 x 40-minute session each week
• Term-2 Dates: Friday 24-April to 19-June. 9-weeks
Pathway to Play
As players grow in confidence and skills, they can seamlessly transition into the Friday:
• Train & Play (Foundation / Prep level)
• Modified Competition — Year 1 to Year 3
Aussie Hoops Participation Pack
• Purchase the official reversible Playball–Aussie Hoops singlet, Size-4/5 basketball during the PlayHQ registration. (optional)
• All players should bring: a size-4/5 basketball and a drink bottle each week
TERM 2 COST 9-WEEKS: Playball Fee $115.00 plus Basketball Vic/Aust $9.50. (optional Aussie Hoops Participation Pack $50.00)

JUNIOR BASKETBALL 
Playball Basketball conducts Friday After-School Basketball Competition and Training for Boys and Girls at both Aqualink Box Hill and Sportlink Vermont South and local school stadiums.
Playball has run these programs for 30-years, training children from Prep to Year 4 children.
BASKETBALL TRAINING
New to basketball? Join in for a school Term of Basketball Training for your 5 to 8 year old (PREP to YR.3) with the nationally run, Aussie Hoops program.
Playball Basketball conducts Aussie Hoops at both Aqualink Box Hill and Sportlink Vermont South on Fridays.

Weekly matches are held for Year 1 to 3 school level (6 to 9 year olds). Matches are recorded using Play-HQ and I-Pads providing live scores and ladder positions.

Insurance
All teams that compete and train in Playball Basketball competitions, are covered by Basketball Victoria's Insurance Policy. This includes Sports Injury Insurance and Public Liability Insurance.
